• Imaginary shell structures inspired by Anne Morrow Lindberg's book, "Gifts from the Sea." While Lindberg took a sabbatical from motherhood on Sanibel Beach in the fifties she wrote of the relationship between the shape of sea shells and the phases of a woman's life as a wife and mother.

These shells are inspired by her description of the mother/woman as a cradle, vessel and a shield.
