Raine Glow started en Plein air in The Gamage Shipyard in South Bristol, ME on a chilly February day. The light is so vibrant and the air is crisp. A symphony of reflections attracts me to boatyards in the winter.

I grew up sailing on Lake Michigan. I feel at home on a sailboat. I traveled extensively and lived aboard for years. I can’t wait to paint the beauties in Maine.

I made canvas for yachts in Florida in my shop called “Watercolors.” Designing dodgers that complement the lines of the boats honed my boat drawing skills. I envisioned the graceful rhythm of movement through the waves while remembering how important grabbing onto that structure feels at sea.

I am looking forward to painting the gorgeous yachts surrounding me in Maine. This beautiful place is full of artists and craftspeople who appreciate the beauty surrounding us.

Raine Glow is just the beginning!
