The Ring

This Ring started from life in my studio and was completed from memory and photos. I love the composition and the reference to our impressions of ourselves through reflections.

The ornate gold mirror was in my TuTu’s house, and the silver hand mirror was set on her dressing table until she left her home. These objects hold a lot of memory for me.

The ring of reflections wraps around the model’s beautiful wedding ring. Our reflections are illusions of what we look like. The model is a beautiful woman and friend.
